This steel bridge is located on the 2nd Ave between Tioga St and Walnut St in Big Stone City, South Dakota. The total steel tonnage for the project is approximately 250 tons, and the bridge had a total length of 224′-0″. The entire structure was fully modeled and detailed using Tekla Structures. From a detailing point of view, the project required experience in bridge designs, particularly in determining elevation layouts throughout the length and the camber of the bridge. It also included a variety of welded and bolted connections, all of which required precise and detailed representation in the drawings. The client had specialized requirements for the drawings, which were made possible thanks to the advanced capabilities of Tekla Structures. Our team dedicated approximately 400 hours to the modeling and detailing process, ensuring high-quality deliverables and contributing to the overall success of the project.
