Projekt Dr. Philips Center for the Performing Arts jest przykładem nowoczesnej architektury i zapewnia unikatową ekspansję powierzchni istniejącego centrum sztuki o 7 500 m² z charakterystyczną przednią ścianą w kształcie fali i sklepieniem. Projekt podlega stałej konsultacji BIM i zmienia się w celu uniknięcia przyszłych konfliktów i kolizji różnych typów konstrukcji budynków, różnych obiektów i instalacji. Szczegółowy opis doświadczenia zdobytego w wielu złożonych projektach, szerokie zastosowanie narzędzi Tekla Structures i ścisła współpraca z fabrykatorem to klucz do pomyślnego zakończenia projektu.

Dr. Philips Center for the Performing Arts project is an example of modern architecture and provides an unique 7 500 sq meters expansion of the existing art center with characteristic front wave wall and canopy. Project includes 1,700 seat opera house, multi-purpose banquet hall, lobbies, rehearsal rooms etc. Project structure is a combination of various non typical units including multi-curve wave wall structure, roof trusses with hanging round catwalks, architecturally exposed front of house floor steel, and characteristic exposed canopy structure. Matching existing building structure introduced additional challenge and multiple revisions made to make structure look like the existing and connect to the existing. Project is under constant BIM consultation and does change to avoid future conflicts and collisions of the various building structure types, miscellaneous objects and installations. Detailing experience gained on multiple complex projects, extensive use of Tekla Structures tools and close cooperation with fabricator is a key to successful project completion.
