OCC Spuikwartier staat voor “Onderwijs- en Cultuurcomplex”, dewelke gelegen is aan “Het Spuiplein” in Den Haag. Wanneer voltooid zal dit gebouw gebruikt worden als een plaats waar cultuur en muziek elkaar ontmoeten op een open en toegankelijke manier. In bepaalde zin is dit project uniek, aangezien verschillende materialen erin gebruikt zijn. Deze materialen zijn bijvoorbeeld: staal, beton, een combinatie van staal-beton als compositiet en hout. Voor dit project was CSM nv de hoofdaannemer inzake de staalbouw. Dit vormde samen met het beton de hoofdstructuur binnen het gebouw. De grootste uitdagingen vormden zich in de coördinatie tussen de verschillende partijen, materialen en tijdelijke situaties tijdens de constructie. Het was dus een must om BIM-software te gebruiken zodat deze informatie op een duidelijke en visuele manier naar alle partijen kon worden overgebracht. Aangezien tot slot de gehele productie van CSM nv compatibel is gemaakt met Tekla in het verleden, is Tekla hier terug als vaste waarde gekozen, tezamen met de onderaannemers Stendess, RCK en FCGAB.

OCC Spuikwartier stands for “Onderwijs- en Cultuurcomplex” which is located at “Het Spuiplein” in The Hague, The Netherlands. When finished, this building will be used as a place where culture and music meets in an open and accessible way. In a sense, this project is unique, since several materials are used within it. These materials are for example: steel, concrete, the combination of steel and concrete as a composite material and timber. For this project CSM nv was the main contractor of the steel construction which formed the primary construction material, together with the concrete. The main challenges for this construction were the coordination between the different parties, materials and temporary situations during construction. By consequence, the use of BIM-software provided clear visual data to all parties which participated into the construction of this project. Since the whole steel production of CSM nv is made compatible with Tekla in the past, Tekla software was used, together with the necessary sub-contractors Stendess, RCK and FCGAB.
