El proyecto consiste en la extensión de la cubierta del estadio San Mamés Barria, en una longitud variable entre los 13 metros en las tribunas laterales y los 24 metros en los córners.

La prolongación de la cubierta se soporta mediante cables de alta resistencia y una estructura tridimensional denominada anillo de compresión.

Esta ampliación permite reducir la abertura central de la cubierta de 8.000 a 4.000 metros cuadrados.

The project consists of the extension of the roof of the San Mamés Barria stadium, in a variable length between 13 meters in the lateral tribunes and 24 meters in the corners.

The extension of the cover is supported by high resistance cables and a three-dimensional structure called compression ring.

This enlargement allows to reduce the central opening of the deck from 8.000 to 4.000 square meters.
