Prezentowana hala będzie przeznaczona do produkcji śmigieł dla turbin wiatrowych. Budynek jest zaprojektowany z szerokością w świetle równą 40m i długością ponad 300m. Wraz z dodatkowymi nawami bocznymi, całkowita szerokość budynku to więcej niż 50m. Całkowita wysokość to ponad 20m.

The hall’s future use is intended for the production of blades for wind turbines. The building is designed with an internal clear width of above 40m and a length of more than 300m. With additional side bays, total width of the building is more than 50m. Total height is more than 20 m.
Bearing constructions are made of frame constructions with distance of 7.2m. Frame constructions consist of steel truss girders with a height of a maximum of 2.5m, which are connected to braced columns in the side bays. Between frame constructions, the roof construction is made of perforated steel trapezoidal sheets, and facades of light sandwich panels, which span horizontally between columns.
Longitudinal stability is ensured by distributing horizontal loads to roof wind bracings and then further to facades in modules A and I, where wind bracings are installed between six pairs of frames along the length of the building. Transverse stability is ensured by interaction between braced columns in the side bays, as well as by connecting steel truss girders to this columns.
There are overhead crane above 100t and console cranes installed in the building. Traverse and console cranes are mounted on crane tracks, which are supported directly on steel columns.
Due to huge length of the building it was challenging to design the structure that is feasible to erect, keeping restricted geometrical tolerances. Due to this reason, a lot of the connections had to be oversized and calculated as preloaded. It was also required due to large number of dynamic loads in the building.
Building length also provided some problems in terms of thermal loads, but it was handled on the execution phase, allowing proper expansion of elements and avoiding accumulation of huge axial forces.
Because of nature of the structure and with all horizontal loads due to wind and crane loads, it was challenging to keep required deflection limits (H/350), but braced columns in side bays helped here a lot and required values were obtained.
