The University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG) will build a proton therapy center where patients with cancer are offered a new radiation treatment for the Netherlands. The proton therapy center is part of the UMC Groningen Cancer Center that offers oncology patients in one place all available treatments, both for children and adults.
As this center is separate from the existing hospital, it is a fully self-employed treatment center.
