This viaduct, with a length of 620.95m, is located in Mantes-la-Jolie and is part of an extension of the railway lines from Paris to the west. The viaduct consists of 3 sub-viaducts. The section exists of 2 vertical caissons with spacers (bridge pieces). The height of the box girders is 3.5m, the total width of the viaduct is 8.4m. The different sections (box elements) will be manufactured in our workshops in Belgium and transported by truck to the construction site in Mantes-la-Jolie. On the assembly site the sections will be pre-assembled with the bridge parts and then handled on temporary piers next to the final piers. After welding and concreting on the temporary structures, the load transfer to the supporting devices will be carried out. The challenge was that a 125m long part of the viaduct has been installed above the tracks by SPMTs.

That is great work!
I’m really curious if you have considered the precamber in the model?
Have you created NC directly from Tekla after the precambering?

Thanks Igor !

Sorry for the late answer 😉

The model has been drawn with precamber and is afterwards created to NC.
For the precamber we’re using Grasshopper to Rhino and import a 3d-DWG into Tekla.
But for new projects we are using the Tekla livelink (plugins) which working fine in both ways with Tekla and grasshopper.

Best regards

Bruno
