Bysteel_bim awards 2025_Gare de Palaiseau

Localizada em Palaiseau, França, a Gare de Palaiseau é uma das três novas estações aéreas da linha 18 do Grand Paris Express, o maior projeto de infraestrutura urbana da Europa. Inserida num ambiente universitário e natural, a estação destaca-se por um volume arquitetónico icónico que harmoniza com a floresta adjacente e o tecido urbano em transformação.
À Bysteel coube a conceção, modelação, fabrico e montagem da estrutura metálica da cobertura e fachadas, com cerca de 4700 m² e 500 toneladas de aço. A cobertura em forma de “origami” combina elementos opacos e envidraçados, criando um forte impacto visual e funcional.
A estrutura principal é composta por oito pórticos treliçados de geometria variável, dispostos a cada 9 metros, com um vão livre de 30,4 metros. Para garantir a estabilidade global, esses pórticos são rigidificados nas junções da fachada e pilares com a estrutura de cobertura. Os elementos estruturais foram executados conforme a classe EXC3 (EN 1090-2) e receberam proteção anticorrosiva de classe C4, assegurando robustez, durabilidade e segurança.
A modelação foi inteiramente realizada em ambiente BIM, com recurso ao Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis e ao TEKLA Structures. A coordenação entre especialidades e a integração de interfaces com betão, redes técnicas e arquitetura foram fundamentais para a precisão e sucesso da execução.
A Gare de Palaiseau é um exemplo da capacidade da Bysteel para concretizar soluções estruturais sofisticadas com rigor técnico e excelência construtiva, contribuindo para uma infraestrutura emblemática e sustentável.

Located in Palaiseau, France, the Gare de Palaiseau is one of three new elevated stations on Line 18 of the Grand Paris Express, the largest urban infrastructure project in Europe. Situated within a university and natural environment, the station features an iconic architectural volume that harmonizes with the adjacent forest and the evolving urban fabric.
Bysteel was responsible for the design, modeling, manufacturing, and assembly of the metallic structure for the roof and facades, covering approximately 4,700 m² and weighing 500 tons of steel. The “origami”-shaped roof combines opaque and glazed elements, creating a strong visual and functional impact.
The main structure consists of eight truss frames with variable geometry, spaced every 9 meters, spanning a clear distance of 30.4 meters. To ensure global stability, these portals are stiffened at the junctions between the facade, columns, and the roof structure. The structural elements were fabricated according to class EXC3 (EN 1090-2) and received corrosion protection of class C4, ensuring robustness, durability, and safety.
Modeling was entirely carried out in a BIM environment, using Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis and TEKLA Structures. Coordination between disciplines and integration of interfaces with concrete, technical networks, and architecture were key to the precision and success of the execution.
