A catholic church in Halfweg, Netherlands is litteraly cut in half with the introduction of a new glass facade with needed steel construction. The church is cut in half because of reduced numbers of visitors, the freed up space created by this is used for new appartment buildings. What makes the (steel) project special is that the construction is on the outside, and the glass facade is on the inside, which makes it a “uniform glass sheet” when viewed from the inside.
