Celý koncept hybridní budovy (kombinace prefabrikovaných modulů a ocelových konstrukcí) umožnil využít extrémně krátké montážní okno v místě stavby (pouhých 10 týdnů během Grónského léta).

The purpose of the project is the realization of construction objects in the project of opening a new gold mine in the locality of Nalunaq, Greenland. The building consists of a residential part, a social part and a technological background.
It is a hybrid building that combines prefabricated building modules (KOMA Modular) with a roof structure and a special construction that enables the foundation of the structure in the specific conditions of Greenland (permafrost and the impossibility of building anything from concrete).
The modules were designed in the basic dimensions of 7300x2438x3080 and are completely equipped, including internal equipment and outer cladding, in the Czech Republic, which minimizes the construction time on the construction site. Due to the extreme climatic conditions, a classic purlin steel roof, sheathed with trapezoidal sheet metal, is designed on the modules.
The foundation of the building is on permafrost, and it was necessary to develop anchoring with the help of rectifying volume changes in the permafrost, especially the support drops. For this purpose, the construction of the so-called “Tripod” was developed, which enables both horizontal rectification in all directions, as well as height rectification.
The whole hybrid building concept (a combination of prefabricated modules and steel structures) can be used in an extremely short on-site assembly window (only 10 weeks during the Greenland summer).
