Cztery maszty oświetleniowe – o łącznej masie ponad 200 ton staną na stadionie w Kolding (Dania). Wysokość każdego z nich przekracza 40 metrów. Przyjęte przekroje zmieniają się wraz z wysokością, przez co konstrukcja ma nietypowy kształt. Połączenia zamodelowano w taki sposób, aby zapewnić odpowiednią dostępność dla montażystów na budowie.
Inzynierowie BIM musieli zwrócić nie tylko uwagę na bezpieczeństwo i oddziaływania dynamiczne, ekonomiczne rozwiązania oraz wygląd projektu, ale również na jego szczelność, ponieważ wewnątrz masztów będzie poprowadzona sieć kabli oświetleniowych.
Zastosowane połączenia były w całości sprężone do uzyskania odpowiedniej nośności i ograniczenia jego deformacji. Zostały również uszczelnione podkładkami EPDM o grubości 1.2 mm, a sama konstrukcja była jednocześnie cynkowana i malowana.

The lighting masts with a total weight of over 200 tons will be located on the stadium in Kolding (Denmark).
The height of each mast is around 40 meters. The construction has an unusual shape because the cross-sections changes along the column. The connections are modelled in such a way as to ensure easy access for the assembly team.
BIM engineers had to pay attention not only to safety and dynamic effects, economy and aesthetics of the structure but also to the fact that construction must remain sealed. A network of cables for lighting will be routed inside the masts.
Connections are fully pretensioned to obtain the appropriate load capacity and to reduce the deformation of connections. The structure is galvanized and painted at the same time.
